Great experience

We studied one week at Orbita in January 2018. A great school, not as big as others (which gives it a family feeling) and very professional. We highly recommend it, including the homestay.

Good Points
The director, René, is sympathetic and helpful, he always responded very quickly to our emails.
The school is in a great setting, overlooking the beautiful lake. Most of the students see the lake during their lessons.
We were both very happy with our teachers Josselyne and Daniela with whom we had a good relationship. It was good not only to learn the language but to speak about the country, the politics, the daily life etc.
Orbita has worked out a system of levels with a workbook for each level, which we found very good but at first I was a little worried they would "force" us into one level, although we were perhaps non-standard cases (for example I had learned Spanish for about 7 years at school but had forgotten a lot of it). But they are actually very flexible about it and suited well the course content to our particular needs. After one week we could definitely feel we had progressed a lot.
The organized activities that we attended to were also nice: a good movie in Spanish and a sports afternoon with the other students and teachers which was really fun. The guide that the school organized for us to climb up the Indian Nose was also great (and the tour was cheaper than at travel agencies it seems).
The homestay was also a great experience. All members of Dominic and Linda's family which hosted us were very nice, we could practise our Spanish with the entire family (including the grand-parents, a cousin and an adorable 2-year old daughter) and learn a lot about their daily life and culture. Linda cooked not only delicious but also varied meals (we will definitely try some of her recipes once we get back home) and there was no problem with the fact we don't eat meat. We had a large and comfortable room with private bathroom and with wifi.
